Mardi Gras raises $17,000 for Angel’s Attic

A taste of New Orleans recently came to the Radisson Lackawanna Station as United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) celebrated their 14^th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration. The event featured fortune tellers, southern cuisine, entertainment by Doug Smith’s Dixieland All-Stars, and a variety of gaming tables.

The event, presented by PNC Bank and Bank of America, raised almost $17,000 for UNC’s emergency food and clothing bank. Angel’s Attic provides more than 20,000 individuals each year with clothing, food, and household items free of cost.
