Seniors Got Talent raises over $7,000 for local older adult programs

DSC_5911UNC recently hosted over 450 attendees at the third annual “Seniors Got Talent” at Lackawanna College in Scranton where amateur older adult acts- ranging from musicians, singers, dancers, comedians and more- competed against each other. John Cosgrove emceed the event. Four guest judges included Deb Dunleavy Dunn, Representative Sid Michaels Kavulick, WBRE-TV’s Eric Deabill and Senator John Blake. The winners were: third place, Barbara Kernich, singer; second place- Joan Glowinski, comedic singer; and first place– Gloria Kaye, singer. Honorable mentions included line dancers from the Mid Valley Active Adult Center, vaudeville act Chuck Weber and Gus Reed, and singer Frank Fedele. All proceeds from the event benefited UNC’s four senior centers throughout Lackawanna County.
