Oppenheim Center for the Arts hold grand opening

Picture1United Neighborhood Centers hosted the official grand opening of the Oppenheim Center for the Arts, 1004 Jackson St. in Scranton, in the Burns Auditorium on June 12. Over 100 people attended the ceremony including the older adults of West Side, staff, donors, politicians, and more. Senator John Blake, Commissioner Pat O’Malley, and Mayor Bill Courtright spoke at the event, as well as campaign benefactors Elizabeth Burns and Jane Oppenheim. A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held outside and tours of the facility followed. The center includes brand new staging, recording studio, dance studio, photography studio, pottery room, and more.
