UNC Receives iPad Donation for Active Older Adult Community Centers

DSC_0273The Joanne Aronsohn Monahan Foundation (dba Still Flying.org) recently donated a total of twenty iPads to UNC’s four active older adult community centers.  In addition to the donation, Foundation Director, Aileen Exeter has been visiting the centers weekly to assist the seniors in learning to use the devices.  Thus far the program has been a great success in helping the seniors stay more connected to family and friends, as well as have easy access to important information.   Older adults who are not currently members of the center are also welcome to visit to learn how to use the iPads.  For more information, contact Laurie Fleming, UNC’s Active Older Adult Program Director at 570-961-1592, ext. 104.
