UNC Partners with Local Corporations, DCED on South Scranton Revitalization

UNC, in collaboration with Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company, PNC Bank, and PPL Electric Utilities, recently received approval to take part in the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development’s (DCED) Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP).

Through this tax credit program, UNC will be able to make significant capital and programmatic progress on its continuing work to revitalize South Scranton.  The agency will have access to funding for the next six years from its three revitalization partners: Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company, PNC Bank, and PPL Electric Utilities.

UNC is the first organization in Northeastern Pennsylvania to receive approval for this state-wide program.
