Welcoming Scranton

UNC’s Community Education & Revitalization Department held the 1st Welcoming Scranton celebration at Connor’s Park on Saturday, Sept. 16th.  The event brought together over 350 long term local residents and those new to the country to promote cross-cultural understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone! Activities included interactive art, laughter yoga, balloon animals, origami, face painting, dance, bingo, and children’s story time.  A light lunch was served and everything was free of charge!
