United Neighborhood Centers successfully administers a housing counseling program called UNC’s One Stop Shop for Housing Services Program. This program serves the needs of hundreds of area residents annually through one-on-one counseling and group format educational workshops. The availability of counselors to provide services on a walk-in basis has been a key to the success of One Stop Shop. Advocacy for those in need is an on-going function of this assistance program which contributes to UNC’s long history of helping neighborhoods and people with their most pressing needs and problems with respect, sensitivity and confidentiality.
