Transitional Housing Program

This program assists homeless families by providing intensive case management and supportive services. It is also geared towards assisting families in identifying goals and securing resources needed.

Through this program, families are given the opportunity to stay together in safe, comfortable apartments while pursuing self-sufficiency goals and permanent housing.

UNC staff assist families in addressing the root cause of their homelessness and provide follow-up support. Program services include case management, budgeting, job training, childcare, transportation, parenting, anger management and so forth.

Since the inception of the program, many homeless families have been able to move from a state of crisis (i.e. homelessness) to a place of security (i.e. permanent housing).

For additional information/assistance, please contact UNC's Transitional Housing Program Case Manager, Heather Kilkenny at (570) 343-8835 Ext. 105.
