UNC youth earns $1,000 taekwondo scholarship

DSC_4627Isabella DeFlice, a 5th grade student from the Scranton School District, was presented a $1,000 scholarship to IronWorks Taekwondo Academy in Dunmore that will cover all of her costs for an entire year. She was presented the honor after taking part in and excelling at a year-long physical fitness program at UNC’s Bellevue Childcare Center that was funded through the Women’s Sports Foundation.
