UNC’s Smoking Cessation Program Featured on ECTV

The COVID-19 pandemic has many of us thinking more about our health. If you’re a smoker, are you thinking about quitting? UNC offers a Smoking Cessation program called Freedom from Smoking, which is sponsored by the American Lung Association. In a recent episode on ECTV, UNC’s Director of Community Health Sarah Bodnar talks with Community Health Assistant Katie Reilly about the benefits of quitting and some of the tips and strategies the group uses to help people quit successfully. Though UNC’s group is not meeting right now due to social distancing, you can call 570-346-6203 ext. 110 for more information about quitting and to be contacted when the group begins meeting again.
