UNC’s Project Hope Offering At-Home Programming

Project Hope, the day camp run by United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania, is offering free at-home programming for children this summer. In-person camp at the Camp Kelly location was canceled due to concerns about COVID-19.

Take-home boxes of food and activities for children ages 5 to 18 will be provided to Project Hope campers once a week for six weeks from July 13 to August 21. Activity boxes will include crafts, scavenger hunts, and other fun and educational activities. Boxes will be available for pick-up at various locations throughout Scranton and Carbondale.

Registration for Project Hope’s at-home programming is required. Please visit https://www.uncnepa.org/campkelly/ to register or call 570-344-9882. The program is free. Funding for Project Hope is provided by the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties, a Lackawanna County Community Arts and Culture Grant, and the Overlook Estate Foundation.
