UNC Partnering with City and Other Agencies to Provide Pandemic-Related Assistance

United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) is partnering with the City of Scranton, NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania, and North Penn Legal Services to help administer two programs funded by CARES Act Funding.

The Rent, Mortgage, and Utility Relief Assistance Program offers rent, mortgage, and utilities assistance to residents adversely affected financially by the pandemic. UNC is administering rent and utility assistance, and NeighborWorks is offering mortgage assistance. North Penn Legal Services is providing a free Legal Assistance Program to residents who may be facing eviction as a result of the pandemic. Assistance is being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
