Workforce Development Coach
United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA (UNC) is one of the largest, and longest operating, nonprofit organizations in the region. The agency’s purpose is to meet the needs of local low-income families, seniors, youth, and new immigrants, while also empowering them to attain self-sufficiency. UNC’s wide array of programs are continuously adjusted to fill the gaps that exist in local services.
The Workforce Development Coach is responsible for providing comprehensive, individualized coaching to those seeking high-quality employment opportunities. This includes coaching individuals towards successful achievement of personal, academic, and career goals. The Workforce Development Coach acknowledges the participant as an expert on their own life and guides the participant through enhancement of personal strengths. The Workforce Development Coach understands the brain science of poverty and how poverty affects decision-making and goal achievement. The Workforce Development Coach will advocate all UNC values including our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
The Workforce Development Coach works a total of works 40 hours per week; two 12:00-8:00pm days and three 9:00-5:00pm days. They report to the Director of Community Education.
