Fall Family Festival Kicks Off New Literacy Program

This past Columbus Day, United Neighborhood Centers hosted a “Fall Family Festival”, which served as a kick-off to the agency’s newest program- Family Learning. Children from the neighborhood and our three childcare centers spent their afternoon conducting arts & crafts, playing in the bounce house and getting their face painted. Most importantly, UNC’s partner in this program, The Albright Memorial Library, handed out free children’s books and UNC staff gave a glimpse of the new Family Learning program by introducing Interactive Literacy Activities- learning challenges meant to educate the family together. If you would like to learn more about our Family Learning program and how you can enroll, please call 570-346-6203 ext. 11 or 12.
