Feed-A-Friend in Action: Collection Sites & Donation Highlights

Here are highlights from our generous community partners—from collection sites to monetary donations—that made this year’s Feed-A-Friend campaign a tremendous success. For 41 years, United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) has proudly served as the designated WNEP Feed-A-Friend agency since the program began in 1984.

This year, 1,961 families received grocery store gift cards and holiday meal food. UNC staff also collected more than 20,000 pounds of food from 77 collection sites across Lackawanna County.

Each family met with a UNC caseworker, helping connect them to additional support and services when needed.

Thank you to every school, business, donor, volunteer, and partner who made this possible.
