PNC Supports UNC Workforce Development

United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) is grateful to PNC for its $25,000 commitment in 2026 to support UNC’s Workforce Development Program through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Special Program Priorities (SPP) Tax Credit Program.

This investment will help UNC serve 650 individuals in Lackawanna County who are working toward stable careers and brighter futures.

Through this initiative, UNC is strengthening job readiness and foundational skills training, expanding access to industry-recognized credentials and clear career pathways, and deepening partnerships with local employers to ensure training aligns with real workforce needs.

Based at UNC’s CEDAR Center in Scranton, the program provides a coordinated approach that helps participants gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to secure family-sustaining employment.
