UNC Promotes Terilynn Brechtel to Chief Operating Officer

United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) has announced the promotion of Terilynn Brechtel, LCSW, to Chief Operating Officer.

Brechtel joined UNC in 2011 as a Service Coordinator in Community Services and soon advanced to Housing Counselor, focusing on foreclosure prevention. During that time, she also taught first-time homebuyer classes and served as a Certified HIV Prevention Counselor.

She later worked within UNC’s Community Development Corporation and Community Education programs, supporting individuals pursuing citizenship. She went on to serve in the Family Literacy program, where she taught English as a Second Language (ESL), provided case management, and continued assisting individuals through the citizenship process. Over time, she advanced into leadership roles, ultimately serving as Director of Community Education.

Throughout her tenure, Brechtel has played a key role in expanding programs and strengthening services to meet the evolving needs of the community.

As Chief Operating Officer, Brechtel will focus on strengthening collaboration across departments, supporting staff, and guiding UNC’s continued growth and impact.

Outside of work, Brechtel enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Cecilia and Elliana.
