Angel’s Attic Pantry Renovation Celebrated with Ribbon Cutting

On Friday, June 12, 2026, United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) proudly celebrated the official ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Angel’s Attic Food and Clothing Pantry.

The renovation was made possible through the hard work and generosity of the Leadership Lackawanna Core Class of 2026, with additional support from a Lackawanna County Re-Invest Program grant that helped fund the installation of new flooring.

Angel’s Attic serves hundreds of individuals and families each week, providing access to food, clothing, and other essential items during times of need. Thanks to this collaborative effort, the pantry has been transformed into a more welcoming, organized, and boutique-style space that enhances the experience for the neighbors UNC serves.

Over the past several months, members of the Leadership Lackawanna Core Class of 2026 dedicated their time and talents to completing a comprehensive renovation project. Improvements included new flooring, clothing racks, shelving, merchandising displays, and a refreshed waiting area featuring comfortable seating, side tables, and décor.

The updated space not only improves functionality for staff and volunteers but also creates a more dignified and inviting environment for clients accessing services.

UNC extends its sincere gratitude to the Leadership Lackawanna Core Class of 2026 for investing their energy, creativity, and commitment into a project that will have a lasting impact on the community. We also thank Lackawanna County for its support through the Re-Invest Program, which helped make these important upgrades possible.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, donated, volunteered, and supported this project. Your generosity will continue to make a difference for the hundreds of individuals and families who rely on Angel’s Attic each week.
