UNC Welcomes Coffee Inclusive to CEDAR Center

UNC is excited to welcome Coffee Inclusive to its CEDAR Center at 526 Cedar Avenue in Scranton, with the new location expected to open in early September 2026. The partnership brings more than great coffee to South Scranton—it creates meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while providing a welcoming gathering place for the community.

The new coffee shop will serve handcrafted hot and cold coffees, espresso drinks, lattes, pastries, muffins, sandwiches, scones, and more. Operated by PA Inclusive, Coffee Inclusive empowers individuals of all abilities to gain valuable workplace experience alongside experienced baristas in an inclusive environment.

Located within UNC’s newly renovated CEDAR Center, the coffee shop will complement the building’s community programming, including adult education, English language learning, career readiness, multicultural wellness initiatives, and the year-round South Side Farmers Market. Together, UNC and PA Inclusive are creating another welcoming destination where neighbors can connect, learn, and thrive.

More details, including the official opening date and hours of operation, will be announced soon.
