Maximus Foundation grants $2000 to UNC teen leadership program

United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) was recently awarded a grant of $2,000 from the Maximus Foundation to support its teen Leaders-in-Training program. UNC was only one of two organizations in the state to receive funding in the fall.

The Maximus Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the company, providing financial assistance to many of the same disadvantaged populations and local communities Maximus serves as a global leader in health and human services. The Foundation provides grants to local community organizations with programs and projects in the areas of child and youth development, health, and community development.

Jerry Musheno, Vice President of Project Administration for Maximus, said, “Maximus is proud to support such an outstanding organization which has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the community.  UNC is truly an innovative leader in responding to the needs of the community.”
