Grand Opening of Old Forge Senior Community Center

The Borough of Old Forge andUnited Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) invites the community to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Old Forge Senior Community Center on Wednesday, September 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 310 South Main Street, Old Forge.

The Old Forge Senior Community Center is operated in partnership with the Old Forge Municipal Building, bringing additional opportunities for older adults to stay active, social and connected right in their community.

The celebration will give older adults and community members an opportunity to tour the center, meet staff, learn about upcoming programs and activities, and discover the many ways UNC’s Senior Community Centers support healthy and joyful aging. The event will feature local food, make-your-own mocktails, games and prizes, activities, resources and more.

All programs are funded, in part, through a partnership with the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.
