UNC Receives $500,000 RACP Grant for Women’s Business Incubator

The state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) has awarded United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) a $500,000 grant to establish a women’s business incubator in South Scranton. This grant will help advance UNC’s work in converting parts of the landmark Peoples Security Bank & Trust Co. building in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue at Alder Street into UNC offices and the women’s business incubator. The incubator will support and train low and middle income women interested in started and growing their own businesses. The project will help create jobs, boost economic activity, and reduce blight in the neighborhood.
