Precautions and Procedures for Yellow Phase of Reopening

A Message to Our Friends, Neighbors, Program Participants and Visitors:

As our county moves into a “yellow phase” with fewer restrictions on business operations, United Neighborhood Centers will gradually reopen more on-site services. In the interest of health and safety, we have made some modifications and will be implementing new procedures to our program delivery. It is our expectation that all community members who arrive at any UNC facility will join us in our efforts by adhering to our new protocol.

Before entering any UNC facility we ask that everyone wear a mask or face covering. All buildings will be equipped with Personal Protective Equipment. Plexiglass barriers will be installed at the front desks in each building as well as offices where person-to-person interviews or discussions regularly occur. Hand sanitizers will be available at or near the front entrance of all buildings. Floor decals will indicate appropriate distance in areas where lines form. Waiting rooms will be furnished with only a minimum amount of chairs. Appointments for all services will be encouraged to avoid crowding.

Staff will alternate schedules and work part time on-site at UNC and the remainder of time from their home work spaces. This schedule will be in place for the near future in order to limit the number of people within buildings. Once again, appointments are strongly encouraged in order to stagger entry into the facilities and ensure that specific staff members are on-site and available for in-person meetings.

It is our intention to deliver programs and services in the most responsible manner possible. Since our in-person contacts will be limited, we will continue to offer programs remotely via telephone, zoom or other digital communication. We appreciate your cooperation and welcome your feedback. Please let us know if you’re experiencing any difficulties accessing our services.

Sincerely,

The Team at United Neighborhood Centers
