United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) Farmers Market

UNC administers two year-round farmers markets.

UNC Farmers Markets host two weekly, year-long farmers in the South Side of Scranton and Carbondale. Both markets accept SNAP/EBT and have support from the Food Bucks program.

South Side Farmers Market

UNC’s South Side Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UNC’s CEDAR Center, 526 Cedar Avenue, Scranton, at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Alder Street.

🌞 Outdoor Market: May through October (weather permitting)
🏠 Indoor Market: Mid-October through mid-May

As part of our work to revitalize the South Scranton neighborhood, and to address a lack of local access to fresh, affordable food, UNC created the South Side Farmers Market in 2010.  Since that time, the market has expanded to a year-round indoor/outdoor market that draws hundreds of people on a Saturday.  The Market offers locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as eggs, meat, baked goods and more.

🌞 Outdoor Market: May through October (weather permitting)
🏠 Indoor Market: Mid-October through mid-May

UNC’s Carbondale Farmers Market is located at our Fallbrook Apartments & Senior Community Center. The market offers locally grown fruits and vegetables, eggs, meat, baked goods and booths featuring the works of local artisans.
