UNC Welcomes Devon Energy Volunteers to Prepare Camp for Summer

On June 3, 2026, a team of 15 volunteers from Devon Energy spent the day at Camp UNC in Tunkhannock, helping prepare the property for another summer of adventure, friendship, and lifelong memories.

Working alongside camp staff, the volunteers completed projects that would have taken Camp UNC staff nearly a month to finish. Their efforts helped ensure campers will arrive to a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.

Throughout the day, the team repaired windows and installed screens, cleared trails, trimmed trees, weeded and cleaned common areas, repaired fencing, improved camp facilities, removed old structures near the lake, and completed maintenance projects across the camp’s expansive grounds.

The impact of the volunteer day was felt throughout the property and will benefit campers and staff all summer long. Camp UNC serves youth from across Northeastern Pennsylvania, providing opportunities for personal growth, outdoor exploration, friendship, and unforgettable experiences in the outdoors.

Partnerships with community-minded organizations like Devon Energy help strengthen Camp UNC and support its mission of creating meaningful experiences for children and families. UNC is grateful for the time, talent, and dedication Devon Energy’s volunteers contributed to preparing the camp for a successful 2026 season.
