Our UNC Locations: Scranton, Tunkhannock, Jessup, Carbondale, West Pittston. This position is located in Scranton, PA.

Hours: Full and Part-time opportunities available.

Options for schedule/hours:

  • 30.5 hours/week: 6:30-8:30am OR 7-9am and 2-6pm (1:30-6 on Tuesdays)
  • 20.5 hours/week: 2-6pm (1:30-6 on Tuesdays)

Position Summary:

We are searching for Assistant Group Supervisors in our Child Care facilities. The Assistant Group Supervisor will work with our Group Supervisors to coordinate the educational, social, emotional, and physical development of the children in the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise small groups of children during activities.
  • Assist in food preparation and serving, as directed by Group Supervisor; assist in monthly food inventory.
  • Assist Group Supervisor in all aspects of Child Care operation.
  • Assist Group Supervisor in ensuring the Center’s compliance with regulations concerning operations in the Child Care Center.
  • Participate in weekly Center staff meetings.
  • Assume responsibility for opening and closing the Center.
  • Plan and implement daily program activities under the guidance of the Group Supervisor and/or Center Director.
  • Perform tasks, administrative and otherwise, to insure smooth operation of child care center.
  • Experience in Child Care and/or a degree in child services preferred.

Education/Experience/Licensure:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience working with children in a child care facility is preferred.
