Location: Camp UNC, Tunkhannock PA

Position Overview

Camp UNC is seeking dependable and experienced Cooks to support daily food service operations during the summer camp season. Cooks play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Required Qualifications

• Current ServSafe Certification (required at time of hire)
• Prior experience in a commercial, institutional, or high‑volume kitchen
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards

Key Responsibilities

Food Service Operations

• Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals according to established menus and portion guidelines
• Support smooth daily kitchen operations in a team‑oriented environment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, including workstations and equipment

Compliance & Safety

• Follow all food handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
• Ensure compliance with health department regulations and camp food safety policies
• Promptly report any safety or equipment concerns to supervisory staff
