Maintenance Lead

United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA (UNC) is one of the largest, and longest operating, nonprofit organizations in the region. The agency’s purpose is to meet the needs of local low-income families, seniors, youth, and new immigrants, while also empowering them to attain self-sufficiency. UNC’s wide array of programs are continuously adjusted to fill the gaps that exist in local services.

Under the direction of the Facilities Director, the Maintenance Lead is responsible for handling preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and maintenance projects throughout UNC & UNCDC. The Maintenance Lead must have strong interpersonal skills, including successful verbal and written communications with staff, clients, and vendors.

Hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Duties will include:

• Assessing system breakdowns and determining the kind of repairs that are required
• Electrical/HVAC troubleshooting skills
• Quality assurance / completion duties
• Parts/Tools accountability
• Plumbing diagnosis/repair
• Drywall / paint practices
• General carpentry / flooring practices
• Report to the Facilities Director the status of project processes and completions.
• Snow Removal / on call
• On call rotation
