UNC Housing

United Neighborhood Community Development Corporation (UNCDC) is the nonprofit housing and economic development subsidiary of UNC. Created in 2006 out of a need for more affordable housing options in the region, UNCDC constructs new, and adapts older, buildings by using public and private funding sources and developing cooperative relationships with local government entities and private investors. Amos Towers
Amos Towers offers both one bedroom and efficiency apartments. Our one bedroom unit consists of a kitchen area/dinette, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Included in our units are air conditioning, refrigerator, stove and emergency pull cords in the bedroom and bathrooms. Our efficiency unit has been renovated to add a separate bedroom, and living room, with a separate kitchen and bath. To visit the Amos Towers website, click here.

Cabrini Apartments
Located in Scranton, Cabrini Apartments includes 16 one bedroom apartment rentals for individuals aged 62 and older. The building is connected to the West Side Active Adult Community Center and is handicap accessible. Cedar Point Apartments & Townhouses
Spread out over ten buildings in Scranton, Cedar Point Apartments and Townhouses consist of four town homes, and an additional 30 rental housing units. Fallbrook
Located on the site of the former Carbondale General Hospital, Fallbrook offers  36 apartments and townhomes, including units equipped for the elderly, people with disabilities, and units designed for larger extended families. The housing community includes multi-purpose community rooms, outdoor walking paths, and a community garden. Harriet Beecher Stowe Apartments
Located in Scranton, Harriet Beecher Stowe Apartments is a former school renovated to contain 18 affordable one, two, and three bedroom apartments. An outdoor playground is also located at the site, as well as a community room. Hitchner Building
Formerly the Hitchner Biscuit Factory, the Hitchner Building in West Pittston now houses 18 one, two, and three bedroom apartments. For a rental application call NDC Real Estate Management at 570-344-5999.

Lehigh Coal and Navigation Building
The Lehigh Coal and Navigation Building, located in Jim Thorpe, was completely renovated by UNCDC in 2017. This magnificent building includes 27 affordable senior apartments located in the heart of this historic Carbon County community. Madison Avenue Townhomes
UNCDC’s Madison Avenue Townhomes in Scranton give LIFE Geisinger program participants an affordable housing opportunity that allows them to live independently longer. The two units are managed by UNCDC with support services provided by the LIFE Geisinger program.

Old School on Luzerne
Formerly the West Pittston High School, the Old School on Luzerne was renovated by UNCDC to include 22 affordable rental units for seniors. Webster Towers
Webster Towers is an eight-story, senior apartment complex located at 500 North Webster Avenue in the historical and beautiful Hill Section neighborhood of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Originally sponsored by the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, it is a nonsectarian, nonprofit organization providing housing for seniors and persons with mobility disabilities. Willow Apartments
Located in Scranton, Willow Apartments include four two bedroom apartments. Each unit has its own porch and the entire façade maintains the 80-year-old building’s original charm.
